I love the staff, but it really needs the right skills to be effective. The Bow also has a bit of a natural knock back to it as well, it's just not as pronounced as the Scythe.
It's a decent starter weapon, but it also can continue to work well in the later game if you just happen to be receiving a lot of bow drops. It does good damage, and it has a decent attack speed. The Bow is your typical all-around weapon. The damage is the weakest among all of the other weapons, but again you will be making up for that with how fast you can throw these. If you value that in your weapon, then it's not a bad choice. The Saw Blade has the fastest built-in attack speed of all of the weapons.
